A noon meal is served for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton, 419-673-1102, at 11:30 a.m. weekdays. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

Hardin County Business and Professional Women's Club met on Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. at Henry's Restaurant in Kenton. President Sandy Moore welcomed six members and the guest speaker.

ASHLAND -- Two area residents attending Ashland University are involved in campus organizations. Morgan Bloom of Kenton is a member of the Social Work Club.

Kenton Choral Boosters met on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. at Kenton High School. Present were President Samantha Evans, Vice President Katie Ketcham, Treasurer Steffanie Humphries, members Kristin Hamilton, Jennifer Spencer, Tammy Ludwig, Susan Dunne, Cindy Deardorff and Director Todd Daquino.

ALGER — The Alger Public Library has scheduled a number of events for all ages during the month of November. For children age 3 though kindergarten, Preschool Story Times will continue through November on Monday nights at 6:30 p.m.

DUNKIRK — People who need help working various technology devices can get it at the Hardin Northern Public Library in Dunkirk. Chloe Noel, an AmeriCorps member will be available at the library beginning Monday, Nov. 7.

BELLE CENTER — The Belle Center Free Public Library will be hosting the following events in November:

McGUFFEY — The McGuffey Church of Christ will start to take registration for Christmas assistance on Nov. 7. Registration will continue until Nov. 21.

Members of the Pioneer Aktion Club participated in the Halloween Party in Marion on Saturday and came home with the first place honors. The event was for Kiwanis and Aktion Club members.
