Members of the Pioneer Aktion Club participated in the Halloween Party in Marion on Saturday and came home with the first place honors. The event was for Kiwanis and Aktion Club members.

Week 48 winner named

Kenton-Hardin Count Soroptimist Intl. congratulates Karen Kier as Club 250 winner for week 48. She will receive $100. This fundraiser helps to provide scholarships for local women and girls.

Monthly breakfast set in Alger

The Alger Memorial Festival Committee is sponsoring a country-style breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Alger Social Center, 210 N. Main St. On the menu are biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and a beverage for a suggested donation of $7.
