Nancy Beach, resident at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center, enjoys a delightful afternoon at the Mother Daughter Tea. There was a great turnout and all were served ham or chicken salad on croissants, chips, and cheesecake, sweet tea and pink lemonade.

Older Americans month being celebrated

Older Americans Month is an annual event dating back to 1963 when President John F. Kennedy designated May as Senior Citizens Month, according to a release from the Area Agency of Aging in Lima. It was later renamed Older Americans Month, honoring older Americans and celebrating their contributions to our communities and our nation.

Senior nutrition: May 11, 2016

A noon meal is served for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton, 419-673-1102, at 11:30 a.m. weekdays. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

Summer SPARK lab offered to 4-H members

Summer is approaching in the SPARK Lab, and the Hardin County OSU Extension Office is inviting people to its summer workshops. At these workshops 4-H members will get to practice skills shown in their 4-H books and work with friends and professionals to enhance the 4-H knowledge and improve 4-H projects.
