ADA — The annual open house for Ada Schools will be Thursday, Aug. 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley School will hold its open house from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10.

The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 215 E. North St., Kenton, will be holding its annual summer festival on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. with plenty of food and entertainment for all.

Kenton Full Gospel Church will hold its annual picnic from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Hardin County Fairgrounds shelter house. Everyone is invited; the only requirement is to bring a covered dish. Everything else will be provided.

The Kenton High School class of 1950 held its 65th year reunion at Henry’s Restaurant on Friday, July 31. Nineteen graduates and 11 guests enjoyed a delicious buffet and visiting with friends.

CAREY — Carey Fest will celebrate its 35th anniversary on Aug. 7 and 8 with the theme, “Let’s Party.” Entertainment, including a wide variety of music, magicians, clowns and demonstrations and games, along with plenty of food, will be offered.

Root Beer Float Day is celebrated on Aug. 6. This classic treat is an easy one to make.

The McMillen reunion will be held at Giffen Park in Belle Center at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16. Bring a basket lunch. Family and friends are welcome.
