Many memories shared of former Dunkirk church as it gets new use

DUNKIRK — While Dunkirk resident Tony Crowe is sad to see the former Dunkirk United Methodist Church go, he’s glad it will be put to good use again. The old church building, located on Main Street on the village’s south side, is in the process of being deconstructed piece by piece by Barnwood Market of Williamstown, a business that salvages building materials to be repurposed.

It took a few minutes to get the high-paced, up-tempo flow to the game the Kenton Lady Wildcats wanted to play against Upper Scioto Valley on Tuesday night. But once they got the game to the pace they wanted, things seemed to come easy for the Lady Wildcats as they took control of the game with a 19-3 run to end the first quarter on the way to a 72-36 victory over the Rams.
