RIDGEWAY — Despite the two of them battling cancer, Linda and Dennis Osborn never gave up on their dream of establishing their own winery. For 10 years, the couple had been making wine for themselves. But in November of 2016, they opened up to the public Bear Vine Winery, located on Ohio 273 just north of Ridgeway.

FOREST — Community improvement projects have long been a part of the efforts of young men striving to become an Eagle Scout. Often the candidates volunteer to help with cemeteries or donate their time to establishing an area of a park. But Andrew Borkosky accepted a challenge beyond most such projects and is creating a landmark for the Village of Forest which he hopes will be appreciated for generations to come.

Emergency responders assist April J. Heldman after she was injured when her vehicle was struck at the intersection of County Road 60 and Township Road 125, south of Dunkirk, on Thursday at 5:05 p.m.

Hardin County Sheriff’s deputies investigate the scene of an accident Thursday morning where a semi truck rolled into a ditch on U.S. 68 near Township Road 220, nine miles south of Kenton.
