COLUMBUS — McKala Grauel of Ridgeway exhibited the Reserve Champion All Other Breeds Market Lamb at the 2017 Ohio State Fair. Grauel competed against 276 exhibitors with 689 market lambs to win the honor.

Wily the Wildcat joins in on the fun at the last day of the annual cheerleader camp at Kenton High School on Thursday. The camp, a fundraiser held to raise money for poms for the school’s cheer squad, saw more than 60 participants from grades kindergarten through eighth.

Boy Scouts from Kenton Troop 150 are helping the United Way of Hardin County to update the Born Learning Trail at Home Run Memorial Park, south of Kenton.

The Wildcats returned to the football field this week for practice. The Wildcats will open their season on Friday, Aug. 25 at Coldwater.

Nearly 30 powerlifters and five Hardin County Special Olympics athletes came to Iron Fit Gym in Kenton on Saturday for a powerlifting meet to raise funds for a good cause. Through the meet’s entry fee, as well as a pancake breakfast, $700 was raised to benefit Hardin County Special Olympics.

The Riverdale Community Lions Golf Scramble was held July 22 at Lincoln Hills Golf Course in Upper Sandusky. This year, 18 teams/72 golfers, dodging the rain, split cash prizes and won individual contests.
