County commissioners approve annexation of future Fastenal location

The Hardin County Commissioners unanimously approved the annexation of two acres into the city of Kenton on Thursday. The land is located at the southeast corner of Ohio 31 and Bales Road on the southern edge of the city. Larry Leffel and Wes Grimm are planning to develop a building at that location which will house the Fastenal store and one other compatible business.

Driver injured

A truck driver lost control of his tractor trailer Wednesday and wrapped his vehicle around a tree in the 400 block of East Franklin Street in Kenton. According to the report at the Kenton Police Department, Oliver Tate, of Euclid, was eastbound on Franklin and went left of center before hitting the tree.
