More than 350 members and guests attended the annual membership meeting of Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative at its Kenton office on Tuesday, April 9. In his report to the cooperative's membership, President and CEO John Metcalf recognized the 20th anniversary of the merger of Marion and United electric cooperatives that resulted in Mid-Ohio Energy.

McGUFFEY — Hardin County and the Village of McGuffey are working on a grant to make improvements in the community. The village is holding a meeting to discuss the proposed grant with residents and to gather their ideas for area projects.

The Hardin County Board of Elections was unable to hold a meeting scheduled for Thursday due to illness resulting in the lack of a quorum. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 9 in the board office at the Hardin County Courthouse.
