A Wharton man was sent to jail for 80 days after he was convicted of vandalism in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Jarred Graham Smith of Wharton was found guilty by a jury of one count of vandalism.

A Kenton man was ordered to spend 120 days in jail and was identified as a Tier II sexual offender after pleading guilty to two charges of attempted gross sexual imposition in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Late Monday afternoon, Nathan Getz nervously prepared to do something that two years ago would have seemed impossible. At that time, Getz said, he had one change of clothing and was sleeping every night on a couch at his parents’ home. Now he found himself scheduled to speak to a packed gallery in the Hardin County Common Pleas courtroom.
