LIMA — The Lima Symphony Orchestra will present two “Baroque by Candlelight” concerts this January. The first concert will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

MARION — The Marion Palace Theatre will offer theatre-goers a diverse entertainment schedule for audience members of all ages and interests this January. Shows include an ensemble of professional instrumentalists performing alongside local students, a mind-blowing 4D concert experience, and a show-stopping performance with Bluegrass music’s Vocal Group of the Year.

LIMA — The Lima Symphony Orchestra will present “Music of the Mad Men Era” with premiere American vocal quintet Five by Design on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. Ring in the New Year with the Lima Symphony Orchestra in true vintage style.

LIMA — The Lima Symphony Orchestra will present its annual holiday concert “Bells, Brass & Bows” on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. This nostalgic celebration of the season will feature the Lima Symphony Chorus, under the direction of Mark Suderman, performing classical favorites including John Rutter’s “Gloria” and selections from Handel’s “Messiah.”

CAREY — The 46th Carey Ecumenical Christmas concert is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 10 at 4:30 p.m. at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, 315 Clay St., Carey. The choir is co-directed by Jack Gerding and Patricia Murphy, and the accompanists for the choir are Joy Orians and Ruth Coldwell.

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will combine forces for their annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. in the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. “Wassail! An Olde English Christmas” is the theme.

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s Wind and Symphony orchestras will perform at 4 p.m. on Dec. 10 in the University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts. This program begins a year of celebration for the 90th anniversary of the ONU Department of Music.

ADA -- Celebrate the Christmas season with the Ohio Northern University Singers and Chamber Singers, directed by Christopher Larsen, director of choral activities, as they present their holiday concert “The Joyous Day” at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 at Ada First United Methodist Church.

The Hardin County Players will be presenting "Miracle On 34th Street Radio Play" as a dinner theater. It will be staged at the Forbing Community Center, 122 N. Main St., Kenton on Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.

MARION — Auditions for the Marion Palace Theatre’s junior stage production “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” will be on Monday, Dec. 18 and Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. Director Emily Yaksic is looking for children ages 7 to 14 years to play a variety of leading and supporting characters for this stage play based on the novel by Lewis Carroll and adapted by Tim Kelly.
