Crops, weeds grow at rapid rate in July During the month of July, Extension rainfall reporters recorded an average of 3.96 inches of rain in Hardin County. Last year, the average rainfall for July was 3.76 inches. Although adequate rain has been received this year during July, some townships have had much more while others have received considerably less. Forest man placed on community control for five years A Forest man was placed on community control for five years after he pleaded guilty to charges in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Kyle Joseph Otto, 21969 Ohio 37, Forest, pleaded guilty to one count each of trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present and theft of drugs. Extension office to honor 4-H volunteer of the year at county fair The Hardin County Agricultural Society met Wednesday, Aug. 7 for its monthly meeting.
