The Hardin County Veterans Memorial Park Board meeting slated for Aug. 13 has been canceled.

The meeting of the Cessna Township trustees slated for Monday has been moved to Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the township hall.

ADA — Ada Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on changes to industrial districts covered in Chapters 1157 and 1159 of the codified ordinances of Ada. It is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19 in council chambers, 115 W. Buckeye Ave.

Aaron D. McGrath, 528 Decatur St., was arrested on a parole violation and transported to the Marion Multi-County Jail. A suspicious male was reported checking car doors in the 600 block of N. Main Street.

Several road projects in Hardin County are continuing next week, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation's weekly update. Ohio 81 and Ohio 235 within the village of Ada will be restricted to one lane at times through the work zone for installation of curb ramps and concrete sidewalks. The work is associated with a larger project to resurface Ohio 81 and Ohio 235 in and around Ada, as well as Ohio 701 in its entirety. Resurfacing work is expected to begin in mid-August. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving.

Mayors in three Hardin County villages will face opposition in the Nov. 5 general election. The deadline for submitting petitions to run for a non-partisan office was Wednesday.

There will be one countywide issue along with several township and school requests on the Nov. 5 election ballot in Hardin County. The deadline for filing an issue to appear on the fall ballot was Wednesday.

COLUMBUS — OhioHealth announced today it will raise its minimum, starting wage from $12 per hour to $15 per hour, across the system, effective Nov. 3 of this year. The system includes Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
