KHS students have success in Hi-Point’s nursing classes Eight Kenton High School seniors have earned certification in two years in a program designed to last twice that long. Since the Nursing Assistant program was introduced when Ohio Hi-Point Career established it two years ago at the former Northwood building in Kenton, the students who began as juniors had to learn on an accelerated pace to earn the certification, said teacher Deb Purcell. Marseilles residents recall plane crash which killed 38 MARSEILLES — Sunday is the 50th anniversary of the only recorded commercial airplane crash in Wyandot County history. Lake Central Flight 527 crashed in a field along CH 94, south of Ohio 67 West, southwest of Marseilles on March 5, 1967. “Plane crash in county takes 38 lives,” was the headline in The Daily Chief-Union the following day.
