Ada’s CIC will not serve as ESID for town’s PACE plans

ADA — Contrary to initial plans, the Community Improvement Corporation of Ada will not serve as the village’s energy special improvement district for the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program. PACE is a financing economic and development tool available to the village through the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority which allows for the village and commercial property owners to make energy efficiency and alternative energy improvements and pay for them through a special assessment.

Alger squad to host EMS Spring Seminar

ALGER — The USV Alger Rescue Squad will be hosting its 3rd annual Alger EMS Spring Seminar on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its EMS station, 207 E. Wagner St., Alger. Many EMS providers from around the county and region will be attending this event.

Last week a disturbing video of a twelve-year-old girl, Janissa Valdez, being body slammed by a Texas school police officer was released on the Internet. This shocking video spread rapidly through the Internet causing investigations to ignite.

Police Reports: April 19, 2016

The department was advised by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office that a stolen vehicle from Seneca County was believed to be in the 800 block of Morningside Drive. The officer was able to locate the vehicle parked in front of the F building of 815 Morningside Drive.
