Hardin County Recorder Brenda Rainsburg holds a copy of an offer received by a Hardin County resident who was encouraged to send $83 to a company for a copy of their deed.

FOREST — An inspection of the Forest water system has resulted in a series of recommendations from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

A Marion man was sent to prison for more than four years in a recent case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents The Broadway Boys on Saturday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Freed Center’s Biggs Theatre.

MOUNT VICTORY — For a small fee, residents of Mount Victory will be permitted to bring car and truck tires to this year’s village clean-up day. Councilwoman Kelly Skaggs reported to council that Dudley Township’s clean-up day takes in tires, and they are taken to the Hardin County transfer station by the village.

ADA – Upper-level design students from Ohio Northern University will host a Grafik Intervention on Friday, April 22 from 8 to 10 p.m. in Ada. The event will take place at the historic Pennsylvania Railroad Depot, located in the business district.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Second Annual Show Choir Festival will begin at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the Benjamin Logan High School auditorium.

A gas drive-off was reported at Fuel America. After pumping the gas, the suspect walked into the store and bought other items but did not pay for the gasoline. An employee spoke with the suspect’s daughter, and then the suspect called the store and said he’d be in to pay for the gasoline. As of the time of the report, the gas had still not been paid for.
