A report was received of damage to a vehicle while it was parked at 226 Henry St. Penny K. Smith, 114 N. Cherry St., came on station to report that sometime in the past two days, someone stole a push lawnmower and a jogging stroller off of her back porch.

Commissioners back judge’s plan for home monitoring of offenders

A monitoring system to allow lower-level offenders to serve their jail sentence at home – and save jail overcrowding charges to Hardin County – was approved Thursday afternoon by county commissioners. Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Barrett recommended the move because of his concerns with overcrowding in the county’s portion of the Multi-County Jail.

Recycling slated in Dunkirk and Mt. Victory

Monthly recycling services hosted by Blanchard Township/Dunkirk and Mount Victory/Hale Township are planned on Tuesday. The Blanchard Township/Dunkirk recycling will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Dunkirk in the parking lot of the former Price Funeral Home.

UF Concert-Chorale to sing
