A detached shed at a Kenton residence was a total loss following a fire this morning. Kenton Fire Department firefighters were dispatched at 4:36 a.m. to the residence of Shirley Cole at 729 S. Wayne St.

A theft was reported at American Budget, 971 E. Columbus St.

The new manager of Kenton’s Saulisberry Park said he will work to maintain its reputation as a family park. Bob Lawrence has been selected to oversee activities and maintenance at the city-owned campground and France Lake, located about two miles southwest of the city.
