KCS helps with new band uniforms

Members of the Kenton High School Marching Band will be getting new uniforms. The Kenton City Schools’ Board of Education on Monday night approved a plan to advance the Kenton Band Boosters up to $20,000 toward the $40,000 purchase of 90 to 100 uniforms from Stanbury Uniforms.

Discussion continues about Alger center

ALGER — An Alger councilman continued to pursue his plans for an after school program for the youth of the village. J.P. Hunt had suggested at council’s previous meeting the vandalism and negative behavior by some young people in the village might be reduced if they were provided organized activities.

Hardin Leadership participants sought

Participants for the twenty-fourth annual Hardin Leadership class, a program designed for the development of informed and effective community leaders, are being recruited now until March. Hardin Leadership is sponsored and conducted by the Hardin Leadership Steering Committee.
