The Hardin County Recorder’s Office reported the following transactions for August:

FOREST — The Village of Forest offices will be closed on Monday, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Trash routes will run one day behind next week.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 8 Hardin County Airport Authority – 4:30 p.m., airport

FINDLAY — Recruitment is underway to enroll participants in the next Small Business Development Program offered by the HHWP Community Action Commission. The program consists of thirteen sessions held from 5:45-8:45 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Sept. 24 in The Family Center located at 1800 N. Blanchard St., Findlay.

Marshall Wolowicz of the Kenton branch of the financial services firm Edward Jones, recently received the firm’s service award for his 25 years of hard work and enthusiasm as an Edward Jones financial advisor.

Chelsey M. Montgomery, 509 W. Gage St., Forest – speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25. Jessie L. Risner, 940 Wilson St., Kenton – speeding 53 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

Officers were aware of an active warrant on Johnathon D. Johnson, 398 E. Forest Road Apt. 42-D, through the Hardin County Municipal Court. Johnson was observed driving eastbound in the 300 block of W. North Street and was stopped at the Marathon gas station at the intersection of Detroit and North streets.

At many schools, the school day begins with students entering their classroom to get ready to learn. At Kenton Elementary School, they now get ready for breakfast. The school offers breakfast free to all students in grades preK-6 in a new program developed by Laura Widder, cafeteria supervisor.

“Agricultural Conservation, Protecting Water: Keeping Soil and Nutrients in the Field” will be the theme of the Hardin County Field Day on Sept. 18. The event will start out at the Jerry McBride Farm, 11312 CR 60, Dola, at 8:30 a.m. and will end at 1:30 p.m. with complimentary lunch.
