Forest woman gets 5 years for attempts to set homes on fire As Kim Wise faced Judge Scott Barrett on Wednesday in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, it was hard for most who were familiar with her case not to reflect on how worse her situation might be if her cigarette lighter had worked. The Forest woman was convicted by a jury in June on 16 counts, including 11 charges of aggravated arson. Read More
Break-in, theft of Murphy Oil results in prison time A Chillicothe man was sent to prison for more than six years after he pleaded guilty to charges in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, David Keith Smith, Chillicothe, was found guilty of one charge each of breaking and entering, grand theft and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity at a Kenton business.
