We would just like to thank the entire 2015 Relay for Life of Hardin County, Cancer Survivor Dinner that was held on July 24 at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. What a team of caring leaders and all involved.

Single-event tickets on sale for Bluffton U. Artist Series

BLUFFTON — Single-event tickets for the 2015-16 Bluffton University Artist Series are on sale. This year’s series features Apollo’s Fire, a baroque chamber ensemble; Heinavanker, an Estonian vocal ensemble; pianist Anne-Marie McDermott; the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players; and the Columbus-based Raise gospel choir.

Break-in, theft of Murphy Oil results in prison time

A Chillicothe man was sent to prison for more than six years after he pleaded guilty to charges in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, David Keith Smith, Chillicothe, was found guilty of one charge each of breaking and entering, grand theft and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity at a Kenton business.

Community School board holds meeting

The board of the Hardin County Community School conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 28 at the school’s meeting room. Among action items was the approval of services for fiscal years 2015 and 2016 from Director Wade Melton.
