Some Hardin County road projects are starting or continuing, while others are planned for later in June, according to the weekly update from the Ohio Department of Transportion’s District 1 office in Lima.

The Gifted Share Fair is an opportunity for students in KES gifted program to share one of the projects that was developed this school year. This is done through a special evening presentation with family invited.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday to demolish the elementary building and one-half of the junior/senior high school. The district will move into a new preK-12 school on the west edge of Mount Victory in August.

RIDGEWAY — Five-year contract extensions were awarded to Ridgemont’s superintendent and treasurer by the school board at its monthly meeting Thursday night. Along with the extensions comes a change in how their future raises are determined.

MOUNT VICTORY — With the water line project in Mount Victory nearing its completion, the issue of the village’s out-of-pocket expenses are being addressed. Page Engineering’s Andy Clarridge visited with the Mount Victory Village Council at its regular meeting Thursday to give an update on the project and its financing.

ADA — The administrators in the Ada school district will be receiving pay increases as a result of action taken by the board of education at its meeting Tuesday night. Three-percent increases in salary for the coming school year were approved for Superintendent Suzanne Darmer, Treasurer Christy Beaschler, principals Robin VanBuskirk and Ben Thaxton, assistant treasurer Cami Nichelson, assistant principal Daniel Lee and maintenance director Mike Lenhart.
