ADA — The Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy has been awarded a Health Resources and Services Administration grant to establish a multidisciplinary rural mobile clinic to provide health care for residents of Hardin County.

Kenton Police Chief John Vermillion on Monday gave City Council’s Finance Committee an update on two projects as he prepares to close out his career. Vermillion, who retires Friday after 41 years in law enforcement and 19 as KPD chief, reported he has completed all his research on acquiring body cameras for all members of the force.

Several Hardin County garden organizations will be participating in the 12th annual Hardin County Plant Sale on Saturday, May 9 in the Arts and Crafts Building at the fairgrounds. There will be browsing and coffee available from 8:30 to 9 a.m., with the actual sale running from 9 a.m. to noon.

ALGER — There won’t be any major street projects in Alger this year. The residents are too wealthy to qualify for funding grants for the projects.

DUNKIRK — The baseball field scoreboard at the Dunkirk Community Park will soon return to having fully functioning digits. According to village superintendent Paul Cramer, several LEDs from the scoreboard are burnt out and need replaced.

The Hardin County Players will honor the theatrical talents of area students at its annual TAB (Take A Bow) Awards, set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 at the Riverdale auditorium. The program is open to the public.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will be showing two movies on Friday, May 8.

DUNKIRK — Story time at the Hardin Northern Public Library will be Wednesday starting at 11 a.m.
