A 17-year-old Kenton youth who took his mom’s car without permission led police on a chase through town before he fled the vehicle and was apprehended on Thursday. The incident started about 11 p.m. Wednesday when police began their pursuit and it continued on foot until a Hardin County Sheriff’s deputy threatened to release his K-9.

A man came on-station to report that he was concerned about his daughter being stalked. A vehicle owned by Theresa M. Fox, 310 1/2 W. Columbus St., was parked in a private drive behind her residence.

An officer was sent to 880 W. Carey St., regarding a person living in a camper. Suspicious activity was reported on W. Franklin Street. The Hardin County Crime Task Force was notified.

Julia Wallace, 508 W. North St., was arrested on a bench warrant. A report was received of a small child outside alone in the 400 block of E. Franklin Street.

An officer was requested to meet a mother at Kenton Elementary School regarding a dispute.

An officer responded to a request for a well-being check on a woman at 146 Mill St. Upon investigation, a male juvenile was arrested on charges of felony domestic violence.

A report was received of a flag missing from Murray Park. An on-station report was received of possible vandalism to a vehicle parked at 116 Broadway St.

A call was received from Kenton City Schools for a report of an unruly juvenile on a school bus in the area of Madison and King streets.

A report was received from Kenton Elementary School Principal Angela Butterman who stated that she had some children tell her that an unknown man chased them and was spying on them at the Eastcrest pick-up point.

Merle L. Mowery, Vero Beach, Fla., was traveling east in the 100 block of East Columbus Street. James W. Burd Jr., 523 Decatur St., was facing north at the traffic signal at the intersection of North Wayne and East Columbus streets.
