Kenton Plan Commission recommends rezoning of former Espy property The Kenton Planning Commission, over the objections of a neighboring property owner, is recommending the site of the former Espy school be rezoned from residential to general business. What really happened to Tim Hurt? On October 30, 1987, the body of a Kenton man was found mangled and discarded on Ohio 31, just about one mile south of Mount Victory. The young man was later identified as Tim Hurt, 23, of 39 Grape Street. Read More

Jury convicts Forest woman on all charges in arson attempt The testimony of a 13-year-old and of the defendant’s son convinced a Hardin County Common Pleas Court jury to convict a Forest woman on 16 charges, including 11 counts of attempted aggravated arson, late Wednesday afternoon. The jury, made up of nine men and three women, took three hours to return the guilty verdicts against Kimberly Wise of Forest after a second day of testimony. Read More
