When Lauren Weaver sees the light bulbs come on in her students when they learn something new, that’s when she knows she’s done her job right. Weaver, a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., is in her first year as director and lead teacher at the Kenton First United Methodist Christian Preschool.

A former bailiff and probation officer from the Hardin County Municipal Court is facing seven counts of rape and two charges of gross sexual imposition. Donald Castle, 47, of Kenton, was arrested Thursday after a grand jury handed down charges against him, according to a release from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
