RIDGEWAY — Many schools find time in their spring schedules for a mock crash to call attention at prom time to the dangers of making bad decisions. But the students at Ridgemont High School are taking the message to a different level.

The Kenton Park and Recreation Board gave its approval to the Warriors First group to provide a meal to veterans and their families on Memorial Day, May 25 at Saulisberry Park. Warriors First is the organization planning to create a camping area for veterans at the park, to be known as Camp Jacob Parrott.

RIDGEWAY — Work will begin at the end of this month on two water leaks in the village of Ridgeway. One of the leaks to be repaired is in an alley between Ohio and Madison streets, and the other lies in the 300 block of Hale Street.

DOLA — A long-standing tradition at Hardin Northern will be a casualty to the new state testing methods, it was announced Tuesday at the board of education meeting.
