Bond was set Monday for a Kenton man accused of inducing panic. David Mauricio Picon Giraldo, 408 N. Main St., appeared in Hardin County Municipal Court with his attorney, Keith Lange on Monday, according to reports from the court.

Kenton residents got some good news Monday evening. City water and sewer rates will not be going up this year.

McGUFFEY — The village of McGuffey will be telling the State of Ohio “thanks, but no thanks” to $135,000. The village had applied for that amount from Issue II funding to make repairs to its wastewater treatment plant.

DOLA — Hardin Northern has named its 2015 Hall of Distinction inductees – Dr. Lawrence Stager, class of 1961 and Dr. Eldon Nelson, class of 1953. Both will be formally inducted into the Hall at the 2015 Commencement Ceremonies in the school auditorium on Sunday, May 24 at 2 p.m.
