Riverdale students and their dates prepare for the red carpet on April 27 for the Riverdale Prom, which was themed “Hollywood.”

Gage Murphy (right) was crowned prom king and Kendra Collier was named prom queen at the 2019 Riverdale “Hollywood” Prom.  

Hardin Northern FFA hosted their Annual Elementary Ag Day on Monday, April 29. K-6 students at Hardin Northern were able to spend their day on the Crooks Family Farm learning about various agriculture topics, which were presented by the high school FFA members.

The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, May 1 at the Kenton Elks Lodge 157 at 7 p.m. with 14 members, along with two guests present for the meeting. Lion President Todd Oates introduced guest speakers George and Barb Wyndham from the “Lake of Lights.”

Phyllis Vermillion (left) was named the Senior Citizen of the Year during the Hardin County Council of Aging's annual Senior Citizen Day at the center. Vermillion is a reliable helper in the kitchen during events at the center, said Director Betty Bibler.

ADA — Musical group, The Voices of Ohio, is coming back to Ada for an evening of music on Saturday, May 18 at 7 p.m. Ada resident, Melanie Caw Woods, is a member of this choral group and a member of Ada First United Methodist Church.

The Ada Kiwanis Club met at noon on Tuesday, April 30 in the Dean’s Heritage Room, McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University, Ada. President Joe Ferguson presided at the meeting. There were no guests present. Jon Umphress offered the invocation.
