The Riverdale boys basketball team did something no Falcon team has done since 1987 when it cut the sectional championship net after a 50-28 win over Leipsic on Friday night. Tonight, the Falcons look to add to their tournament success when they open Division IV district play against Blanchard Valley Conference and backyard rival Arlington at Findlay High School.

The Hardin County Homemakers will be hosting their annual Spring Achievement Day and also their 70th anniversary celebration on April 2 at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, 801 W. Lima St., Kenton. The Moonlighters homemakers will be signing members and guests in at 9 a.m., along with cultural arts projects being accepted at that time.

With family members in law enforcement and emergency services, Jake Burgbacher has always had a fondness for helping others. In the past 11-plus years, he has served those in his community in a number of ways, whether it’s been as a deputy with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office or volunteering as a firefighter with the Northern Hardin County Fire District in Dunkirk.
