MOUNT BLANCHARD — McComb outscored Riverdale in each of the final three quarters, including 11-2 over the final eight minutes, on the way to a 48-25 victory over the Lady Falcons in a Blanchard Valley Conference game on Thursday night. The game was tied 11-11 after eight minutes and McComb led 26-24 at halftime and 37-33 after three quarters before pulling away in the fourth stanza.

FINDLAY — Jay Owenhouse, a legendary escape artist and one of the most awarded illusionists in history, returns to Findlay for one night only in “Dare to Believe!”, an illusion spectacular. The performance will be on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Marathon Center.

One of the three vehicles involved in an accident on U.S. 68 just north of Ohio 701, about six miles north of Kenton, is prepared to be hoisted onto a tow truck early Thursday morning.

BELLEFONTAINE —After a low-scoring first half, Ben Logan found its offense in the third quarter on the way to a 43-20 victory over Bellefontaine in a non-league girls basketball game on Wednesday night. Leading 15-8 at halftime, the host Raiders outscored Bellefontaine 20-7 in the third eight minutes to take control of the game.

Tuesday should have been a busy day for the staff at Kenton office of the United States Department of Agriculture. It was the deadline to sign up for financial assistance for soybean crops, said Mark Badertscher of the Hardin County OSU Extension Office.
