The Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV) brought back two state awards from the Ohio MGV Conference held Sept. 28-29 at the Sharonville Convention Center in Cincinnati. ‘An Evening Garden Affair’ was recognized as the state winner for the Integrated Pest Management Outstanding MGV Project award category for medium sized groups at this annual conference.

Gary and Connie Gillfillan recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Gary and the former Connie Breidenbach were united in marriage on Oct. 12, 1968.

While there have been some disappointments for the Kenton football team this season, the Wildcats made sure there were none for their seniors on Friday night. The Wildcats took control of their game against Elida – their final contest of the season at Robinson Field – in the second quarter and pulled away in the third quarter on the way to a 67-35 win over the visiting Bulldogs.

BELLEFONTAINE — After grabbing a 6-0 first quarter lead, Ben Logan surrendered 20-straight points to Graham to fall behind at the half 20-6. The Raiders were unable to gain any ground on the Falcons, losing Friday night’s contest 33-19.
