The Kenton High School class of 1983 held its 35th reunion on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Kenton Elks. The event was attended by 32 classmates and guests which included: Bonnie (Adams) Geib, Lucinda (Binau) Wireman, Jeff Bloom, Jane (Blume) Mintun, Bill and Deb (Ziegler) Bopp, Steve Bricker, Deb (Brooks) Anderson, Mark Butterman, Annie (Morris) Conkle, Lou Ann (Hastings) Diesher, Doug Flinn, Garth Fout, Teresa (Boecher) Haudenschield, Susan (Pavlovic) Headings, Mike Hottman, Anita Howard, Greg Leathem, Jimmie Lightner, Mark Lindsey, Linda (Rogers) Lyons, Blake Manns, Jaymie (Clark) Morris, Bruce Oberlitner, Lori (Johnson) Paul, Richard Pemberton, Mark Pfeiffer, Chris Richards, Jerry Rodenberger, Arch Rodgers, Tom Sherman and Nathan Thatcher.

Avery and Jacob Ayers rustled up a stray to participate in the round up at the sheep lead show at the 2018 Hardin County Fair, but the lamb thought Avery's hat looked like a good candidate for dinner.

Caitlyn Stover of the Ada FFA was selected as this year's showman of showmen at the Hardin County Fair. Stover was the top sales person in the senior division of the poultry show and was named the best showman in handling all the species at the fair contest.

Delaware Hayes handed the Kenton girls soccer team its first setback of the season, defeating the Lady Wildcats 2-1 in a non-league girls soccer match on Saturday. Caitlin Tudor scored the lone goal for the WIldcats, who are now 7-1 on the season.

Enrique Cabrera, manager of El Campo Mexican Restaurant in Ada, is ready to welcome patrons for the first “All Out”for United Way of Hardin County on Tuesday, Sept. 11. The restaurant will donate a percentage of its sales that day.

Sue (Farmer) and Dennis Sams of Ridgeway are celebrating their 40th anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 8, 1978 in Ada, Oklahoma.

Guests were given a close look at the Leopard Tortoise from the Columbus Zoo at a program Friday afternoon at the Hardin County Fair. The zoo crew brought a penguin, leopard and other animals from their zoo collection. The display was popular with guests who filled the bleachers of the small show arena.
