Staff and residents at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center in Kenton took a Pink Ribbon Walk and got sponsors to earn money to donate to Not By Choice Outreach.

Residents of Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center in Kenton enjoyed the last meal outing of the season with the annual trip to the Der Dutchman in Plain City. They enjoyed the scenery and the trip and of course, the food.

MOUNT VICTORY — As the National FFA Convention opens this week in Indianapolis, Hardin County will be well represented in the individual judging. Two Ridgemont graduates, a Kenton grad and a Ridgemont senior have been selected to compete in the national contest in their divisions.

OTTAWA — Ada’s players went into their district semifinal matchup with Leipsic with thoughts of trying to take away the Vikings’ strengths. After dropping the first game 14-25, the Bulldogs scrapped that plan and decided to just play ‘Ada’ volleyball.

The last graduating class of Forest High School, the class of 1962, celebrated its 55th class reunion in September. Members enjoyed a weekend full of activities, beginning with a dinner at the Cheers 2 You restaurant on a Friday evening, and culminating Saturday with a wine and beer tasting and pizza party at the White Shutters Winery and movie "Hidden Figures' at the Star Theater in Upper Sandusky.

Kenton Middle School football cheerleaders and National Junior Honor Society teamed up for a Cheer for A Cure event on Oct. 19 at their last home football game.

MOUNT VICTORY — The members of the Ridgemont FFA who will be competing this week in the organization’s national convention in Indianapolis are on their way to the contest today. For the tenth year, Ridgemont has been named one of the top ten chapters in the nation.

McGUFFEY — The Upper Scioto Valley Local Honor Society inducted 15 new members on Tuesday, Oct. 17. These students met all of the academic achievement, service, integrity and leadership qualifications required for admittance into the honor society.
