NEW CARLISLE — Ben Logan emerged victorious Monday night from a battle on the volleyball court. The Raiders (22-2) won an intense, grueling five-set contest over Tippecanoe to advance to a Division II district final against Wyoming at Kettering Fairmont’s Trent Arena on Saturday.

After a 10-year hiatus the Kenton High School Wildcat Battalion Raider team is back in competition. Nine JROTC cadets, along with the team coach Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Eric Croke, traveled to Jackson, Mich., to compete in the Michigan State finals competition on Saturday, Oct. 22.

Five members of the Benjamin Logan Soils Team were chosen for districts which were held in Marysville on Sept. 27. They were Rhiannon Rhodes, Kaylene Harpest, Darby Eades, Mekayla Waugh and Toby Stettler.

FINDLAY — The Riverdale girls cross country team was third of eight teams at Saturday’s Division III district meet at Owens Community College in Findlay to qualify for regional competition.
