The Northern Hardin County Fire District presented a fire safety program to the students of Hardin Northern school. The students in K-2 learned about fire safety and had the opportunity to see and use a piece of the fire fighting equipment.

The regular meeting of the Hardin County Central and Executive Committees took place on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. The meeting served to officially open the Republican Election Headquarters at 304 W. Franklin St., Kenton.

After spending nearly 20 years in the training room at The University of Findlay, Keith Beck was moved to academia full time. To fill the void left by the athletics he loved so much, Beck took over as coordinator of athletic training services in Hardin County and has been enjoying his time with Kenton High School since.

Many area residents brought their chairs and their Ohio State spirit to watch the Buckeyes battle Wisconsin under the stars on a jumbo screen in downtown Kenton Saturday night.

Ahead by two touchdowns with three minutes left in the third quarter, Kenton looked as if it had everything going its way Friday night. The Wildcats defense had stopped visiting Elida on three straight possessions and the offense had put the ball into the end zone on two consecutive possessions to take a 35-21 lead.

RIDGEWAY — Ridgemont senior Brandon Bennett’s efficient night at quarterback for the Gophers helped lead his team to a 26-13 win over Waynesfield-Goshen on senior night Friday. Bennett completed 9-of-12 passes for 183 yards and threw for three touchdowns.
