Gophers’ Howland named NWCC’s POY Ridgemont’s Priscilla Howland was selected as the Northwest Central Conference player of the year and three other Gophers received all-league recognition on the teams released on Wednesday. Howland, a senior who averaged 17.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this past season, has led the Gophers to a 16-8 mark and into the school’s first district tournament appearance since 1990.
