Cory-Rawson edges Riverdale

RAWSON — A fourth-quarter push by Riverdale came up just short, with the Falcons falling to Cory-Rawson 63-57 in a Blanchard Valley Conference boys basketball contest on Friday night. The loss drops the Falcons to 4-15 overall, 2-7 in the BVC. The Hornets climb to 6-11, 3-6.

W-G cruises past HN

DOLA — Waynesfield-Goshen outscored Hardin Northern in all four quarters on the way to an 80-47 Northwest Central Conference victory over the Polar Bears on Friday night. The visiting Tigers took a 20-10 lead after eight minutes and a 36-23 at halftime before outscoring the Polar Bears 44-24 in the second 16 minutes.

Lincolnview tops Ada

ADA — Falling behind 16-6 after one quarter, Ada was unable to recover against Lincolnview, falling 53-39 in a Northwest Conference boys basketball game Friday night. The Bulldogs see their record drop to 4-15 overall, 2-4 in the NWC. The Lancers climb to 12-7, 6-1.

Frey, Wright have big nights in Falcons loss

ARCADIA — Riverdale trimmed an early eight-point deficit to one point heading into the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s Blanchard Valley Conference game. However, the host Redskins outscored the Lady Falcons 17-13 over the final eight minutes to pull away for a 66-61 victory.

Fast start carries W-G by Hardin Northern

WAYNESFIELD — Waynesfield-Goshen got off to a fast start, outscoring Hardin Northern by 18 points in the first quarter, on the way to a 56-26 win in Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball action on Thursday. The host Tigers jumped ahead 21-3 after eight minutes and extended the advantage to 29-9 by halftime before putting the game away with a 17-8 third quarter run.

Elgin outshoots USV girls 62-57 in overtime

LaRUE —After finding their shooting touch to score 21 points in the fourth quarter and force overtime against league-leading Elgin on Thursday night, the Upper Scioto Valley girls basketball team went cold in the extra session as the host Lady Comets pulled away for a 62-57 Northwest Central Conference victory.
