Arcadia pulls away from Hardin Northern, 64-47

DOLA — Arcadia pulled away from Hardin Northern with a 20-11 advantage in the second quarter on the way to a 64-47 boys basketball victory over the host Polar Bears on Tuesday night. Leading by two points after eight minutes, the Redskins extended their advantage to 33-22 by halftime and 47-36 after three quarters.

BELLEFONTAINE — West Liberty-Salem took control in the third quarter on the way to a 62-49 boys basketball win over Ben Logan on Tuesday night. Leading 24-21 at halftime, the visiting Tigers outscored the Raiders 22-12 in the third stanza as they improved to 7-5 on the season.

Cornell, Eversole spark Wildcats in victory over Liberty-Benton

Trailing Liberty-Benton by a basket at halftime, it was a pair of freshmen that took control for the Kenton basketball team in the second half. Jayden Cornell had 16 points in the second 16 minutes and Jake Eversole added 13 points, including eight in the third quarter, as the Wildcats pulled out a 78-71 victory in the non-league contest.
