The Kenton High School boys and girls swim teams swept a match with Bath at the Hardin County Family YMCA on Tuesday. The Wildcats boys won 99-25, while the girls 92-4 victors.

DOLA — Arcadia pulled away from Hardin Northern with a 20-11 advantage in the second quarter on the way to a 64-47 boys basketball victory over the host Polar Bears on Tuesday night. Leading by two points after eight minutes, the Redskins extended their advantage to 33-22 by halftime and 47-36 after three quarters.

BELLEFONTAINE — West Liberty-Salem took control in the third quarter on the way to a 62-49 boys basketball win over Ben Logan on Tuesday night. Leading 24-21 at halftime, the visiting Tigers outscored the Raiders 22-12 in the third stanza as they improved to 7-5 on the season.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan middle school girls basketball teams swept Kenton in a pair of games on Tuesday night. The Raiders won the seventh grade game 30-10. Bailey Elliott scored 10 points to lead Ben Logan.

DOLA — Hardin Northern’s girls basketball game against Lehman Catholic, which was scheduled for Thursday, has been switched to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Lady Polar Bears also have added a game against Fort Jennings at 6 p.m. Feb. 1.

McGUFFEY — With just under seven seconds to go and Upper Scioto Valley holding a 43-40 lead, Ada called a timeout to get one more set play. Out of the timeout, the Bulldogs got the ball to Cade Mullins in the corner.

Trailing Liberty-Benton by a basket at halftime, it was a pair of freshmen that took control for the Kenton basketball team in the second half. Jayden Cornell had 16 points in the second 16 minutes and Jake Eversole added 13 points, including eight in the third quarter, as the Wildcats pulled out a 78-71 victory in the non-league contest.
