Streets has 37 to lead Gophers by Falcons

MOUNT VICTORY — Jayden Streets netted 37 points as Ridgemont earned its first victory of the season, defeating Riverdale 69-57 in a non-league boys basketball game on Saturday night. The Gophers, who led 21-11 after one quarter and 38-24 by halftime, are now 1-12 on the season.

Bruns nets 41 points in Polar Bears victory

ADA — Ryan Bruns had career-highs of 41 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Ohio Northern men's basketball team to a 108-87 victory over Muskingum on Saturday night at the ONU Sports Center. The Polar Bears (11-4 overall, 6-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) also got 29 points and eight assists from Nate Burger.

ONU women rally past Muskingum, 73-66

NEW CONCORD — The No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to post a 73-66 victory at Muskingum on Saturday night. The Polar Bears (14-1 overall) run their winning streak to 14 games and stay perfect in the Ohio Athletic Conference with an 8-0 record, while the Muskies fall to 6-9, 2-6.

Arn leads BL swimmers

CINCINNATI — Macy Arn led the way for the Ben Logan swim teams as the Raiders competed over the weekend in Southwest District Classic, which is the largest Division 1/Division II swim meet in Ohio. The prelim meet was held at 10 different locations with Ben Logan competing at Trotwood Madison High School.

Wildcats take over in 2nd half against Wapak

WAPAKONETA — Trailing first-place Wapakoneta by three points at halftime, Kenton took over in the third quarter on the way to a 59-50 victory in Western Buckeye League girls basketball action on Thursday, The Wildcats, 8-3 on the season and 2-2 in WBL play, outscored the hosts 18-7 in the third quarter as they handed the Redskins their first league loss.
