The Black team defeated the White team by 11 points in Masonic Pool Tournament play on Thursday. The Black team now leads the tournament by 10 points.

LIMA – Three Kenton girls finished in the top 24, but the Wildcats couldn’t get enough out of their fourth and fifth runners as they finished 8th in the team standings with 158 points at the Western Buckeye League cross country meet on Saturday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Ottovile defeated Riverdale 3-1 in a non-conference boys soccer matchup on Saturday. The Falcons’ Dylan Hunt scored off an assist from Coby Miller 15:45 into the game, before the Big Green’s Evan Boecker netted two goals to secure the game for Ottoville.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — The Ohio Northern football team scored touchdowns on both of its overtime possessions and got a big defensive stop on a fourth-and-8 to hold on for a 27-20 double overtime victory at John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at Don Shula Stadium.

WAYNESFIELD — Upper Scioto Valley’s Brady Hipsher was third invidually and Hardin Northern’s boys ran to second place in the team standings at the Northwest Central Conference cross country meet on Saturday.

CRESTLINE — The Hardin Northern volleyball team finished its regular season on Saturday by defeating Crestline 25-11, 28-26, 25-9. The Polar Bears, 16-4 overall, were paced on the attack by Rylie Bame’s 15 kills and Shelby Alloway’s 8 kills. Cassidy Deckling chipped in with 6 kills and Morgan Pauley finished with 4.

LIMA — The Kenton Middle School eighth grade volleyball team suffered a 25-8, 25-7 setback to Ottawa-Glandorf in Bath tournament action on Saturday. Sophie Thompson had 2 aces and a kill for the Wildcats, while Chelsea Kalb had an assist.
