TECUMSEH —Tecumseh defeated Ben Logan in five sets 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 16-25, 15-12 in a Central Buckeye Conference volleyball match on Thursday night. The Raiders, champions of the CBC’s Mad River Division, complete their regular season at 17-5 overall and 10-3 in league play.

RAWSON — Coby Miller had a goal and an assist and Matthew Mason and Taylor Bacon added goals as Riverdale defeated Cory-Rawson 3-0 in North Central Ohio Soccer Association play on Thursday. Riverdale improves to 5-9-1 on the season and 3-1-1 in NCOSA play.

ADA — Van Buren shut out Ada 3-0 in North Central Ohio Soccer Association boys soccer action on Thursday. Ace Gamble had five saves for the Bulldogs, who finish their season at 11-5.

The Kenton Middle School volleyball team swept a pair of matches from Liberty-Benton on Thursday night. The eighth grade Wildcats won in three games 24-26, 25-14, 25-23.

PERRYSBURG — Kenton’s Mykaela’s Schriber won the first game of her Division II district tennis match against Napoleon’s Aliza Lankenau on Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the match for Schriber as Lankenau took the next 12 games to defeat the Wildcat sophomore 6-1, 6-0 in play at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — When Riverdale freshman Andrew Kuenzli tees off tomorrow at the Division III high school state golf tournament in Columbus, he will become just the second Falcon golfer to do so. Kuenzli begins his outing at the state tournament at 10:40 a.m. Friday at The Ohio State University Scarlet Course.

Three weeks ago at the midpoint of the football season, the Kenton and Ottawa-Glandorf football teams were both sitting at 1-4. After two straight wins for both teams, the Wildcats and Titans square off at Robinson Field on Friday night with hopes of getting back to .500 on the season and giving themselves a shot to remain in the postseason playoff race in the final two weeks. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Hardin Northern (1-6) is looking to snap a six-game football losing streak when it travels to Ridgemont on Friday night, while the Gophers are hoping to break into the win column for the first time the season. Both teams are looking for their first conference win.

URBANA — George Kern scored two goals to lead the Ben Logan boys soccer team to a 4-1 win over Urbana in the Raiders’ regular season final on Wednesday night. Kern’s goals bring his total for the season up to 26 as the Raiders improve to 6-9-1.
