In the Monday Fall League at Memorial Park Golf Course the team of Nick Zachariah, Spencer Vermillion Dwayne Spencer, Bob Walls and Paige Wallace holds the lead with a 24 under par. The team of Paul Comer, Reg Sampson, Luey Hanna, Randy Comer and Kim Butcher are two strokes back at 22 under.

Lady Falcons earn top seed in soccer draw

Riverdale was the lone area girls soccer team to earn a top seed in the tournament pairings, which were released on Sunday. The Falcons, who completed their regular season with a 12-2-3 record, are off until Oct. 18 when they will host either Allen East or Cory-Rawson for a sectional championship in their tournament opener.

St. Marys blasts Raiders

BELLEFONTAINE — St. Marys defeated Ben Logan 8-1 in a non-league boys soccer match on Thursday. George Kern scored his 24th goal of the season on a penalty kick in the second half for the Raiders lone tally.

Masonic pool: October 10, 2017

The White team defeated the Black team by one point as the 88th year of the Masonic Pool Tournament kicked off on Thursday night. High runs were by Gene Cook 72-57-50-64, Dave Schwemer 40, Boyd Downey 41, Scott Good 48, Larry Weaver 40, Lynn Dickerson 45, Harold McGee 40 and Steve Ray 49.

Falcons take advantage of Rams miscues

MOUNT BLANCHARD — In a matchup of inexperienced teams, Riverdale proved more able to control the flow of play. The Falcons took a 2-0 lead against the wind off a pair of handballs in the first half, and held possession in their opponent’s half for much of the second in a 3-1 victory over Upper Sandusky on Saturday.
