HN spikers lay claim to NWCC championship

DOLA — The Hardin Northern volleyball team clinched at least a share of the Northwest Central Conference crown with a 25-18, 25-16, 25-11 victory over Waynesfield-Goshen on Thursday night. Shelby Alloway had 9 kills and 9 digs and Rylie Bame added 15 kills and 3 solo blocks to lead the Polar Bears, who were playing a “Volley for the Cure’ match.

Ridgemont’s attack strong in sweep of LTC

MOUNT VICTORY — Three Ridgemont players finished in double digits for kills as the Gophers defeated Lime Temple Christian 25-14, 25-27, 25-21, 25-22 in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball match on Thursday. Sidney Richardson led the Gopher attack with 12 kills, while Cassidy Knapp and Shaylee McGrath chipped in with 10 spikes each.

‘Cats host Sawnee in homecoming battle

After getting a big lift with a hard-fought 35-27 win over Van Wert last Friday, the Kenton football team hopes to make it two in a row when the Wildcats host Shawnee in a homecoming matchup on Friday night. Both teams look to even their WBL marks as the Wildcats enter the game with a 2-4 overall slate and a 2-3 WBL record, while Shawnee is 3-3 and 2-3.
