The second farm Dodgers defeated the Red Sox 8-7 on Tuesday. Hitters for the Dodgers included Isaiah Poland with a triple and home run, Jesse Shoop with a double and single, Evan Rall with two singles, Hudson Latimore with a home run and Paxton Rhodes with a double.

DOLA — Hardin Northern held its spring sports program recently, recognizing its boys and girls track, baseball and softball athletes. Members of the boys track team receiving special awards were Owen Bame, James Rickenbacher and Frank McCoy, Century Awards; Nick Bame, Duo Century Award and Most Valuable Runner; Samuel Diller, most improved; McCoy, most valuable field events; and Owen Bame, Polar Bear award.

TIFFIN — Seniors Nick Bame of Hardin Northern and Kyle Evans of Riverdale punched their tickets to the Division III state track meet in Columbus next week with regional championships at meet in Tiffin on Friday.

BELLEFONTAINE — Darian Rockhold has been playing softball for most of her life, including the past four springs as a standout third baseman for Ben Logan. The Raider senior will continue her career after graduating this week as she recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Muskingum University.

MASON — Ada’s Zach Beaschler accomplished his primary goal at the Division II state tennis tournament - getting into the win column. A year after dropping his first round match, the Bulldog junior topped Waverly’s Brandon Nibert 6-0, 6-1 in his opening match on Friday.

DUNKIRK — Hardin Northern midget football signups will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunkirk Park. Anyone with questions may call Kenny at 419-619-6914.

Ridgemont had a pair of first team selections and Upper Scioto Valley had one on the All-Northwest Central Conference baseball teams released earlier this week. Named to the first team for the Gophers were pitcher Jace McGue and catcher Alex Ramsey.
