BENTON RIDGE — Nicholas Bame led the way for the Hardin Northern track team by placing in three individual events and being part of the Polar Bears fourth place 3,200 relay team at the Liberty-Benton Invitational on Saturday.

The Kenton High School softball team rallied from a four-run deficit with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on the way to a 5-4 six-inning win over Ottawa-Glandorf on Friday night.

WEST LAFAYETTE — Seniors Tyler Davis and Blaine Ricketts earned All-Conference honors to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team in a record-setting effort at the 2017 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships Thursday-Saturday at River Greens Golf Club.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Trailing 7-2 to Ridgemont heading into the sixth inning, the Riverdale bats went off, putting up 8 on its way to a 10-7 non-conference softball win on Friday.

OTTAWA — The Kenton bats came to life in the late innings of a Western Buckeye League baseball game Friday night, with the Wildcats coming out on top 7-1. The win assures a winning WBL season for the Wildcats.

DOLA — After surrendering eight runs to New Riegel in the opening inning, Hardin Northern was unable to recover, taking the 14-3 non-conference softball loss on Friday. The Polar Bears managed three runs in the contest, all coming in the fifth inning. Picking up the RBIs were Madison Robson, Quinn Stewart-Evans and Cassidy Deckling.
