Polar Bears fall to Delphos Jefferson

ROCKFORD — Despite having three scorers in double figures, Hardin Northern was taken down by Delphos Jefferson 74-44 in the Parkway Holiday Tournament Friday afternoon. Leading the way for the Polar Bears (2-4 overall) was Zachary Wilhelm who put up 15 points and snagged four rebounds.

Slow start hurts Falcons in loss to Dayton Carroll

WAPAKONETA — A slow start doomed the Riverdale Falcon girls basketball team against undefeated Dayton Carroll, losing 64-40 in the TSC Wapakoneta Tournament Friday night. The Falcons (6-4) found themselves down 11-5 after the first quarter and were outscored by Dayton Carroll (12-0) 23-9 in the second, trailing 34-14 at the half.

Lady Polar Bears remain unbeaten

ADA — The No. 17-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team stayed perfect on the season as it defeated Westfield State (Mass.) 82-65 Friday evening in Nashville, Tenn., during the second day of the Music City Classic. The Polar Bears move to 11-0 overall, while the Owls drop to 6-6 on the season.
