The Kenton High School bowling teams split a pair of matches with Defiance on Thursday night at Hillcrest Lanes. The Wildcats boys won 2,416-2,156.

ST. MARYS — The Kenton High School wrestling team suffered setbacks to Ottawa-Glandorf and St. Marys during a Western Buckeye league quadangular on Thursday.

NEW BREMEN — Emily Patton scored 29 points and pulled down 9 rebounds but it was not enough for Upper Scioto Valley as the Rams fell to New Bremen 61-53 in non-league girls basketball action on Thursday night.

VANLUE — Riverdale made quick work of Vanlue on Thursday night, outscoring the host Wildcats 21-6 in the first quarter and building the advantage to 43-13 by halftime on the way to a 71-24 victory in Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball action.

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Northwestern defeated the Ben Logan boys bowling team 2,647-2,445 on Thursday night.

ADA — Leading by just four points heading into the final quarter, the Ada Bulldogs went on an 11-2 run to give themselves a comfortable lead against Cory-Rawson in boys basketball action Wednesday night.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan girls got off to a quick start against Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday night, grabbing a 10-point lead after one quarter.

MARION — The Kenton High School boys and girls swim teams were both second to Upper Sandusky at the 10-team Mt. Gilead Invitational held at the Marion YMCA on Wednesday.

There are a number of basketball games slated for area teams on Friday night. Both Ridgemont (1-5) and Parkway are looking for their second victories of the season when the Gophers host the Panthers.
