SPRINGFIELD — Ben Logan defeated Springfield Shawnee 2-1 in Central Buckeye Conference boys soccer Wednesday to remain undefeated through seven games this season.

ARLINGTON — Mason Pickett shot a 52 to lead Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference tri-match Thursday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan shot 223 as a team to split a girls golf tri-match Wednesday at Cherokee Hills. The Raiders beat Indian Lake 223-263 and were just seven shots behind Northwestern. Ben Logan freshman Mailiis Simovart recorded a 41 to earn medalist honors.

RAWSON — Riverdale won each set by only two points but it was good enough to sweep Cory-Rawson, 26-24, 25-23, 25-23, on Wednesday.

OTTAWA — Kenton won its first boys golf Western Buckeye League match of the season Tuesday night, defeating Ottawa-Glandorf by one stroke at Pike Run Golf Course.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan split a boys golf tri-match Wednesday at Liberty Hills Golf Course.

The final scores may not have shown it, but there were a lot of things to like about the way the Kenton girls tennis team played Tuesday in a 4-1 Western Buckeye League loss to Defiance.

LIMA — The Ben Logan volleyball team improved to 7-0 on the season, picking up a 25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20 victory over host Lima Central Catholic on Tuesday.

Following Kenton’s 2-1 victory over Riverdale in nonconference boys soccer Saturday night, both coaches were pleased with what they saw from their teams. But Riverdale coach Jon Hayfield may have thought the final result was not what it should have been.

DOLA — Hardin Northern split a volleyball tri-match with Ada and Arlington on Saturday. The Polar Bears fell in three sets to Arlington 25-19, 22-25, 25-22; before rebounding to defeat the Bulldogs 25-19, 27-25.
