St. Marys swept Kenton 5-0 in a Western Buckeye League tennis match Monday night. In singles action, St. Marys’ Clare Caywood was a 6-2, 6-2 victor over Mykaela Schriber, Hanna Felver topped Kelsey Flowers 6-0, 6-0 and Jennifer Brown bettered Abby Hartshorn 6-0, 6-2.

NORTH BALTIMORE — Shelby Alloway had a big night for Hardin Northern as the Polar Bears swept North Baltimore 25-15, 25-21, 25-22 in a nonconference volleyball match Monday night. Alloway had 14 kills, six aces and four digs to lead the Polar Bears, who improve to 4-0 on the season.

TECUMSEH — Tecumeseh defeated Ben Logan 4-0 in a Central Buckeye Conference girls soccer matchup Monday night. Ben Logan goalkeeper Katelyn Shellenberger had “several nice saves in goal,” according to coach Dave Evans. The Raiders play at London on Saturday.

The Kenton Middle School volleyball teams defeated Waynesfield-Goshen on Monday afternoon. The eighth grade Wildcats won 25-16, 16-25, 25-18.

Kenton found a way to score Saturday night and kept going to it, getting a hat trick from Drew Hoppe as part of a 5-2 nonconference boys soccer victory over Upper Sandusky. The Wildcats (2-1-1) thought they had a tactical advantage heading into the game that started nearly 90 minutes late due to weather and quickly exploited it.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Two first half goals proved to be enough for Upper Sandusky to defeat Kenton in girls soccer action Saturday night. Kenton (2-1) made a late push against the Rams (3-1) with a second half goal, but ultimately fell to Upper Sandusky, 3-1.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Ben Gannon’s goal in the 22nd minute proved to be the game-winner as Riverdale defeated Miller City 2-1 in a non-league soccer game Saturday.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan’s Trey Wilson had four touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Raiders rolled up 651 yards of offense on the way to a 51-0 rout of Fairbanks on Saturday.

DOLA — Hardin Northern dropped the first game Saturday, but won the next three to defeat Pandora-Gilboa in nonconference volleyball.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale swept Bucyrus, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18 to get its first volleyball victory of the season Saturday.
