NORTH LEWISBURG — A late-inning push came up just short for Benjamin Logan, which fell to Triad 6-4 in a non-conference baseball game on Friday. Triad took control in the second inning with four runs, but the Raiders kept the lead in their sights with a pair of runs in the third.

BOTKINS — The Upper Scioto Valley Rams were unable to get their bats going against Botkins on Friday, falling 12-0 in non-conference baseball action. After a five-run first inning, Botkins kept the runs coming in the second with two more.

McGUFFEY — Arlington scored five runs in the top of the first inning Thursday and Upper Scioto Valley could never quite overcome that deficit as the Red Devils won 15-7 in nonconference baseball.

Shawn Conover allowed only one hit to pick up his third win of the season and Heath Houser drove in two runs as Kenton defeated Van Buren 4-1 in nonconference baseball Thursday.

ADA — Ada scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning Thursday to take the lead from Delphos Jefferson on the Bulldogs’ way to a 3-2 Northwest Central Conference softball victory.

Van Buren edged Kenton 6-5 in nonconference softball Thursday night. The Black Knights went ahead 6-4 for good with three runs in the top of the fifth.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan trailed Tecumseh 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning of a Central Buckeye Conference softball game Thursday, but the Raiders had an answer.

BELLEFONTAINE — Tecumseh scored the final five runs Thursday to defeat Ben Logan 5-2 in Central Buckeye Conference baseball.

ADA — It wasn’t a banner day for the Ada baseball team Thursday. Brett Mahlie of Delphos Jefferson no-hit the Bulldogs as Jefferson won 17-0 in five innings.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale fell behind in the top of the first inning but quickly took control in a 10-2 softball victory over Pandora-Gilboa on Wednesday.
